Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction

These Terms & Conditions outline how Dr Fran’s Menopause Clinic provides private menopause care. By booking an appointment, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully and contact us if anything is unclear.

 

2. Scope of Service

Dr Fran’s Menopause Clinic provides specialist menopause consultations, treatment planning, and private prescriptions where clinically appropriate. 

All appointments are delivered via secure online video. We do not offer emergency or urgent care.

3. Eligibility for Treatment

You must be aged 18 or over and able to provide accurate medical information. You also must be resident in the UK. Treatment decisions are based on clinical judgement, current evidence and NICE/British Menopause Society menopause guidelines. 

If we feel that private treatment is not safe or appropriate, we may decline or redirect you to NHS or other specialist services.

4. Appointment Fees & Payment

- Fees are payable at the time of booking.  We do not accept cash or cheques for payment.

- Payment confirms your appointment. 

- Medication costs are NOT included in consultation fees and are paid directly to the pharmacy. 

- Investigation costs are NOT included in the consultation fees.

- Fees may change. Updated prices will always be shown before booking.

5. Cancellation & Rescheduling

- You may cancel or reschedule up to 48 hours before your appointment. 

- Cancellations within 48 hours may be charged 50% of the consultation fee and missed appointments may be charged at full fee. 

- If we need to cancel or reschedule, we will notify you as soon as possible and offer the next available appointment.

6. Prescriptions

Private prescriptions are issued only when clinically appropriate. 

We do not guarantee that a prescription will be provided at every appointment. 

Pharmacies set their own medication prices, and we are not responsible for pharmacy dispensing decisions or costs.

7. Communication With Your GP

With your consent, we will send a summary of your consultation and treatment plan to your NHS GP to support joined‑up care. 

You may withdraw consent at any time.

8. Medical Records

We keep secure clinical records in line with UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018, and GMC guidance. 

You may request access to your records or ask for corrections where appropriate.

9. Your Responsibilities

You agree to:

- Provide accurate and complete medical information 

- Attend appointments on time 

- Follow safety advice and monitoring recommendations 

- Seek urgent medical care if symptoms worsen or you experience red‑flag symptoms

10. Limitations of Service

We do not provide:

- Emergency or out‑of‑hours care 

- Diagnosis or management of unrelated medical conditions 

- Physical examinations

- Controlled drugs other than Testosterone 

- Insurance or medico‑legal reports

11. Technology Requirements

You are responsible for ensuring you have a stable internet connection and a private, quiet space for your video consultation. 

If technical issues prevent the appointment from taking place, we will help you rebook.

12. Complaints

If you are unhappy with any aspect of your care, please contact us directly. 

We aim to resolve concerns promptly and professionally. 

If needed, you may escalate complaints to the appropriate regulatory body.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The version displayed at the time of booking applies to your appointment.
